Bumblewind is a friendly bay pinto colt with gold feathers tipped in brown, a black mane and tail, and a thin blaze on his face. He is one of Star's best friends, and a twin brother to Echofrost. He sired Windheart and Thornblaze with Dewberry. He died of a head injury shortly after being thrown into a tree by a dire wolf.

Bumblewind, described as a friendly bay pinto with golden feathers tipped in brown, is the colt of Crystalfeather and Ashfire, along with his sister, Echofrost.
In book four, while trying to escape the dire wolves, he was attacked by one and thrown headfirst into a tree. He suffered major head injuries and died around a day later.
Personality
Bumblewind was a friendly, loyal colt. He had no ambitions but he had a crush on Dewberry, who became his mate sometime before he died.
